Greetings,

<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region><st1:place>Valencia</st1:place></st1:country-region> at INTER <st1:City><st1:place>MILAN</st1:place></st1:City><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Series: INTER <st1:City><st1:place>MILAN</st1:place></st1:City> to advance -155 (7 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
<st1:place>Lyon</st1:place> at AS ROMA<o:p></o:p>
AS ROMA’s hopes for scudetto glory evaporated with the loss to Empoli. Rare mistake by Spalletti on that one, with respect to line-up and substitutions. This series will probably be decided on the French turf, thus first leg of match might see visitor content with a draw, and home side Roma will only be truly satisfied with a win. Home record compiled this year by host in all competitions (Serie A / Coppa Italia / Champions): 13 wins, 4 draws, and 1 loss. Goal production in those 18 games: 41 scored, and 9 allowed. Roma not in great form, but neither is <st1:place>Lyon</st1:place>. Visitor facing toughest defensive opponent to date with deadly counter-attacking midfield. Plenty of team speed between these two, so goal scoring chances will materialize. For now, will take a stab at the series price. Tomorrow, side and total.
Series: AS ROMA to advance +177 (3.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
AC Milan at CELTIC<o:p></o:p>
Wondering if Ancelotti will go the defensive route with his patented <st1:date Month="4" Day="4" Year="2002">4-4-2</st1:date>, with the hope of scraping a dirty draw, and settle matters with the return leg at home. Originally, I saw this as a decent under, but now see it as a perky over for the following reasons: Celtic, a home performer, would like nothing better than to make the return trip to AC Milan with a victory in their pocket. Feel that they have the better chance of scoring the crucial first goal; this is where AC Milan will have no choice to press for the equalizer, and defense will be exposed for what it is: slow, aging, and suspect when pressing to support the midfield.<o:p></o:p>
AC Milan over 2 -113 (3.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Wanted to play AC Milan at the PK, but if I’m going to potentially waste some units on AC, I’d rather do it on Sunday with the choice of Empoli +0.5 against Fiorentina.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Best of Luck,<o:p></o:p>

Hate Ancelotti, but respect the bastard. Initial analysis was correct - scraped the cheap draw playing what looked like 4-5-1 (never mind the 4-4-2).

Wondering if refs in champions league play are in bribe mode...Lille match was a flying circus. Don't trust the mojo, or the players, nor the officiating in todays card. Today's losers are as follows:

Valencia at INTER MILAN
INTER MILAN over 2 -113 (3 units)
Valencia +0.5 +105 (3 units)

Soccer prop for Half / Full time:
Valencia / draw +1700 (0.5 unit)

Like the over a lot here, but will save some units for Saturdays' Serie B Piacenza / Genoa game.

Lyon at AS ROMA
Money Line AS ROMA +144 (3.5 units)
AS ROMA over 2 and 2.5 +108 (3 units)

Soccer prop for Half / Full time:
Draw / Roma +531 (0.5 unit)

Take care, and good luck.

Champions League: 21-Feb-2007
Props included: 2W-4L (-1.35 units)

MM, thanks for contribution to 4-team parlay, which turned into 3-team winner. (will not be included in my crappy YTD totals)

MA says: perhaps only one, or maybe two of the italians will advance to the next round. Looks like next round of AS ROMA / Lyon is worthy of the "hmmm, sorry, I need to leave work early today, hope you understand, will be withdrawing some of my banked over-time".

Inter no fade team, but Sunday's Serie A match with Catania could hold new found value with both side and total.

Take care, and good luck.

MA
